blargh ugh blech

i have not been able to leave the office for pretty much anything for the last two days. i usually get to sneak some time on my favorite message board, but NOPE - nothin'.
i've had more than i can keep up with in regard to work, and i also recently decided to find out what all the panic was about and read all three books in the twlight series by stephenie meyer. i finished them in two and a half days and they are pretty good.
don't get me wrong - they won't win any literary prizes for content, but they're fast, interesting reads and i enjoyed them. if you're into vampires and quasi-predictable plots, check 'em out.

let's see what else, what else:

- we leave one week from tomorrow to go "tube the river" with some friends and i can't wait. it will be nice to relax and not stress for awhile.
- tomorrow is friday, which is always awesome.
- i got a call from big brothers/big sisters yesterday about a possible match! how crazy is that when they said it would take weeks. anyway, they ran through my possible little sister's stats with me and said if i agreed (which of course i did - who does that??) they would pass my info to her and her parents and see what came of it.
- i got the call at 7 o'clock tonight that our intro meeting is set for tuesday night. :)
- my sisters are driving me crazy. all of them.
- my mother. enough said.
- my little brother in law is in love with a "girl" on myspace that i'm pretty sure doesn't exist. i don't know how to break it to him that he'll understand.
- we watched "no country for old men" a night or two ago and i was seriously underwhelmed. i'll give it this though: IT WAS THE MOST TENSE MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN.
