first things first:
i have known one of my best friends jenny since her family moved in across the street from us when i was four. she's definitely a forever keeper, and i was ecstatic to go and see she and her husband's first child - a beautiful baby boy they named thompson michael in honor of their fathers. he is 8lb 5oz and 19.5in long.
he is just too cute for words and i already know he will want for nothing in his life. :)
jenny's mom is a first time grandmother and cannot stop crying. jenny says thompson will call her "bubby" and she's keenly against the idea. too bad!
earlier in the day, we drove out to my parent's house to celebrate my step-dad's and grandmother's birthdays that both occur this month.
never one to pass up an opportunity to "boom. roasted" my family, i took the camera along for the shenangians.
the last sister picture we took was uh, 3 years ago or so? so we opted to take a new one. i get my ham-ness honestly, as can be seen below from l-r: christie (younger), me, stefanie (oldest) and showboating in front, hollie (older)
this is my little brother joshua - he doesn't get much mention as he's 13 years younger than i am and lives with my parents. he's a pretty cool kid and is definitely benefitting from the lack of a houseful of crazy sisters. (please reference picture above for reasonings)
sister christie has two awesome dogs - a gigantor great dane named sam and this platypus of dogs named vy. she's a, um, corgi/german shepherd/dachsund/handsome stranger mix. she's adorable as hell and i try to steal her all the time.
i'm not sure how i always end up washing dishes. probably because i'm a dope and hate leaving messes at people's houses. invite me over - i clean!
my goregous niece alaina and one of the other species babies i saw this weekend - pygmy goat! my parents have goats (no, i have no idea why) and they were told the boy was fixed. alas. twas not the case. but the spawn are cute, no?
