negativity - part two

let me explain myself, as to put to ease the minds of those who texted/emailed me wondering what was going on. i'm fine. :)

the reason i had no sleep was because, well, did i ever explain about my brother in law's fake myspace girlfriend? ugh. if i didn't, count yourself lucky.
but anyway, i found the real girl who belonged to the pictures saturday night and promptly shoved it in b-i-l's face. sunday, he wanted the info forwarded to him and i did just this, without knowing it his fake myspace girlfriend logged on to his account to receive these messages.
hilarity and insomnia ensued. i was so worked up and pissed by the end of it (how silly, i know) that i didn't get to sleep until 5am, and i woke up, not tired, at 830am. total bust.

ANYWHO

i think the negativity irritation started when a few weeks ago my bff at work accidentally sent a really bitchy IM about a guy we work with TO the guy we work with. he clicked his name instead of mine and the guy got it and immediately dismissed himself from the floor because he was going to kill steve. steve felt awful because the message was mean and unwarranted and it got me to thinking...i would be horrified if my thoughts were transparent. horrified. and that's awful.
why do i dismiss and despise so many people with a snap judgment? and further, why do i discuss it, at length, with friends and family? that's horrible! what's wrong with me?!
now let me get this straight, it doesn't include those people who really do deserve my ire. no no...they are fair game and i don't feel bad about despising them.
i'm talking about the internet strangers, and the people i sort of work with but not really, and the friends of a friend; those poor schmos who get put under my microscope and analyzed for weakness when they fail to interest me within one minute of meeting.

sigh.

perhaps i should just accept my belonging to this circle of griping and move on. but maybe i'll be moving on with a teensy bit more human optimism than before.
