yardwork has pretty much been my #1 priority for about 3 months now. i still want to rip up the flowers i just planted, but that's me being insane, and i've resisted the urge. HOWEVER, the current pain in my soul is the maple tree in our front yard. we removed the ugly foot of mulch around it's base, and now it's completely unstable. we've staked it, we check it and then BAM, the next morning it's pulling up.
so on saturday we dug down a few more inches (which is no small feat in the rock hard clay that is our front yard), put the bastard in, and watched as it only went down an inch. :-
our awesome landscaping guy is going to come scope it out on friday and tell us what he thinks, but at this point i'm ready to pitch it and start over with a seedling.
the landscape is not the only insanity on my list, as we have decided to buy new bedroom furniture. my life is officially hell.
